The Queen Victoria Plaque prior to refurbishment:
The Queen Victoria plaque was replaced by a vitreous enamel plaque in 2009. However, due to weathering of the back board the plaque came away from the sea wall during 2011. The Town Council decided to go back to the original plaque and have it re-lettered.
GJ Banks Ltd was chosen as the contractor in January 2012 to undertake the re-lettering works and this project will progress in due course.
